Romania, like California, is Ground 0 for Oracle /5.07.2006
Dan GârlaÅŸu – director departament vânzări infrastructură tehnologică Oracle România:
Firstly, we are all witnesses of a process of virtualisation, where a switch becomes a softswitch, a fax machine becomes a service on the mobile phone. So when devices become software programs on a computer, a software vendor becomes all the more interested.
Secondly, we may notice the reversed link between broadband and the GDP of a country: usage of broadband allows for solutions to increase productivity, reduce costs and increase mobility of business clients Mr. Marian Pantazescu mentioned. All these lead to growth in GDP, also known as the “network effect” at a country level.
Ion Vaciu:
Could Romania make the leap to this virtualisation stage
Dan Gârlaşu
Definitely, since here comes into play the globalisation phenomenon, where the virtual enterprise plays a major role. Oracle does this in Romania. At the moment, Romania is, just as California is, Ground Zero for Oracle global operations. This is virtualisation.
